Why We Built This Site
New Mexico gives the public broad access to many records through the Inspection of Public Records Act and court access rules, but Quay County records are not held in one place. Quay District Court handles felony, divorce, civil, domestic, juvenile, mental health, lower-court appeal, and contested probate matters. Quay County Magistrate Court handles misdemeanors, DWI, traffic, landlord-tenant, civil cases up to the lower-court limit, and felony preliminary hearings. Tucumcari Municipal Court handles city traffic, petty misdemeanor, DWI, ordinance, animal control, and code enforcement matters. The Quay County Clerk handles county-recorded documents, marriage records, occupation licenses, commission minutes, elections, and informal probate-related county materials.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Quay County, New Mexico Courts, the Tenth Judicial District, the Quay County Clerk, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document, marriage record, probate record, or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific New Mexico case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, office hour, or court portal notice is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. A District Court decree must come from the court, and a recorded Quay County marriage document must come from the county clerk.
